In order to serve as a holistic life coach in Ireland, I trained in areas such as ICF life coaching, NLP coaching, functional, performance and transformational breathwork & corporate wellness, to bring you a program tailored to suit your unique wants and needs.
A high-performing professional who is struggling with burnout may need to focus on not only their work habits and productivity (mind), but also their self-care routines and physical health (body), as well as their sense of purpose and fulfilment (spirit). Picture every task we undertake in life, as climbing a ladder against a wall. The climbing of the ladder is a symbol of progress towards our goal, the wall the ladder leans against is a symbol of the goal itself.
If we don't carefully choose the right wall to lean the ladder against, we risk reaching the top only to realise we've failed to achieve our intended destination or goal. Success is not just about climbing the ladder, but also ensuring that it's leaning against the right wall. Failure to do so can result in wasted effort, missed opportunities and ultimately disappointment.
Getting people up the ladder is a management role, whereas taking a moment to step back and look to see if the ladder is leaned up against the correct wall, before expending energy climbing the ladder – is leadership.
You aren't here to manage your life, you are here to lead your life.
Choosing which ladder to lean against which wall requires intentionality, knowledge, and care. Just as different ladders serve different purposes and are used to climb various heights, different goals require different strategies to achieve them. By taking the time to assess our goals and choose the right ladder to lean against the right wall, we increase our chances of success.
